After School Sports

About

After school sports at Los Cerros is supported by donations and parent volunteer drivers that have registered with the district.  Parents need to register using the following link:   http://www.srvusd.net/parents/volunteers  Your registration must be approved by the district before you can drive students other than you own to games.

 

All participants must complete the Student Code of Conduct!

Cross Country Starts August 28th

 

Los Cerros Cross Country August 28th - September 25th

Cross Country (Grades 6-8)

 

Team Informational Meeting: Tuesday, August 21  @ Library during 6th and 7th/8th grade lunch

Season: August 28 – September 25

Practices:  August 28, 30, September 4, 6, 11, 13 @ 2:30-3:15

Meets: Osage Park: 9/18 and 9/25

After School Sports

The following are schedule guidelines.  Please plan accordingly.  Information may be subject to change by the coach, referee, or site administrator.

 

  • Practices generally are held for one hour after school. 
  • All games begin at 3:30 p.m.
  • Games should last approximately one hour. 
  • If a game is cancelled due to weather or other site considerations, the decision will be made by approximately 11:00 a.m. every day. 

 

Parents should arrange to have students picked up from the site hosting the game immediately after the game, or from the students’ home school immediately following the teams return.  We cannot be responsible for students left without rides to and from games. 

VOLUNTEERING FOR AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS

Any parent or coach who wishes to drive any student other than their own to a game or event must have completed the new volunteer process.  Got to http://www.srvusd.net/parents/volunteers

 

Field Trip Drivers: At this level, the District will obtain a 10-year driving history and DMV “Pull Notification" ("Pull Notification" allows the District to be notified any time there is a reportable traffic violation or incident that is registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles). Also includes completion of the Volunteer Online Application, and a search of the Sex Offender Registry. *This level of clearance will allow you to transport students as a driver for field trips, extra-curricular activities and athletic events. **Clearance for this level could take up to 14 days.  No exceptions can be made to this policy.
